I love your site. Please keep up the good work. Nibbling away will help down the line. Bought your book yesterday. You might be interested in Gerry Spence's book FROM FREEDOM TO SLAVERY. He brings up, in the newest edition the Randy Weaver Case for a few chapters, but the bulk of the book is about corporate greed -- he calls the government and corps, The King.
Any way, what if you tried to get tons of illegally procured, transported, stored -- Salvaged Hazardous Waste -- and later buried and dumped, and wound up trying to protect yourself from further cover-up crimes from corporations, and every government agency that was supposed to protect you.
It was CalTrans rotting pentachlorophenol-treated wood, bags and hundreds of the old guardrail posts. Though every law and code pertain to this, we were to be criminalized beyond belief. The violations were investigated by an environmental group and we were used as one of the Ten worst victimization in America before Congress in a Petition to Ban this horrible killer chemical, PCP, Penta, Agent Orange, DowCide.
For simple asking to have it removed, a conspiracy of lies led to our hose being set on fire, our utilities and phone service shut off with out our knowledge, Pinole cops came over 20 times with armed TACH Mode with over 65 cops, sometimes with CHP and County sheriffs(I am a 68 year old disabled retiree with no firearms and a wife given the Last Rights), "Police Load" bullet box left on my truck, the truck trashed four times, our house egged, etc,...
In October the Pinole Police came and was going to arrest me for leaves on the CalTrans subcontractor's lawn -- FIVE LEAVES!-- they walked me out and I had to tell them that I had no such trees, with video, which saved me! So they got the wife to get a Harassment Restraining Order against me, a SLAPP. (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation.)
Next day, they came to arrest me for FAXing the Pinole City Manager a note discribing the name of the trees and that they were not on my property. And that I had no responsibility for someone eles's trees on their own property.
I lost all Basic and Constitutional Rights, use of about 1000 sq. feet of my property and was slandered with lies and allowed no defence, even with an attorney present, with what I call intimidation and suppression of evidence.
A First Ammendment group in Berkeley said I was the only American in their files ever to lose his Constitutional and Basic Rights, be poisoned, intimidated and harassed by cops, all condoned by the government and judicial system. The last time all this happened was in Nazi Germany!!!!!
What if this happened to you? Then you'd have a real fight. Being alone is the worst part.
